Why Your Website Isn’t Generating Leads
Your website looks great. So why isn’t it generating enquiries? In our experience auditing hundreds of small business websites, the same 7 issues come up again and again.

1. Your site is too slow
If your site takes longer than 3 seconds to load, more than half your visitors leave before they ever see it. Compress images, remove bloated plugins, and host on a fast Australian server.
2. The headline doesn’t say what you do
Visitors decide in 5 seconds whether to stay. Your H1 needs to clearly state who you help and what outcome you deliver — not your tagline.
3. There’s no clear call-to-action above the fold
Every page needs an obvious next step: ‘Get a Free Quote’, ‘Book Now’, ‘Call Today’. If users have to scroll or hunt, they won’t.
4. Your forms are too long
Every extra form field can drop conversions by 10%+. Ask for the minimum: name, phone, email. You can qualify on the call.
5. No trust signals
Reviews, ratings, photos of real work, certifications, and recognisable client logos all build credibility. Without them, visitors hesitate.
6. You’re not capturing leads on mobile
Over 70% of local searches happen on mobile. Tap-to-call buttons, sticky CTAs, and mobile-optimised forms are non-negotiable.
7. There’s no traffic to begin with
A great site with no visitors won’t generate leads. Pair your website with SEO and Google Ads to drive consistent, qualified traffic.
